This is a nice design but it needs one more thread per repeat. What do you plan to weave with this draft? You could use this threading with lots of other treadlings.

You have 99 ends in each repeat in both warp and weft (woven as drawn in) but the total number needs to be a multiple of 4 in order to repeat while maintaining the underlying 4-shaft twill structure. Your sequence ends on shaft 3 and it needs to end on shaft 4 so it will be easy to fix. I am afraid that otherwise you will notice the break in the twill lines at end 99 and pick 99 and each repeat of these. I have woven a lot of network drafted twills.

One way to check this is to use a 1/3/1/3 tie-up and make sure that you have a consistent ground of 4-shaft twill. Try it on this draft.

hi Ann,

Now I see the scarf. Thanks for telling me. It looks very pretty, so you might want to weave another warp using network drafted twills sometime. For me, it was helpful to consider the 4-shaft twill as the consistent structure which I used to express my design. Then it made sense to avoid a tie-up lifting 4 adjacent shafts- I cannot weave a 4-shaft twill with all 4 shafts up (or down)!

Problem is I only see 6.5 treadles. Is this me or did something get cut off?

Very nice!  And thanks for showing both sides.  This is a great draft!

thanks, I always like looking at both sides of bands, there are so many patterns where the reverse is just as good as, if not better than the front. It also pays to know if there are immensely long floats just waiting to destroy your hard work at the slightest snag

Okay, how did you do that?

I really like this draft (and the book.)  Thanks for sharing it.  I think I will make it my next coverlet draft.

What yarns did you use?
