Thanks! Yes that is what we called it over here, anyway: A close sett in the warp, then every other thick, everyother thin weft yarns. Glad you like it :-)

I used the very thich weft "stränggarn" for the strap while weaving: Cut  the length needed for the last few picks, parted and twisted it and wove the rest.

Later I made some more in white and blue. All are cast-off projects from placemats where I had yarn left over to make some matching pot holders.
