Silk stripe

White 50/2 silk 1.5" 40 epi   striped with 1/2" 20/2 handpainted silk at 24 epi

10 dent reed,  white at 4 ends dent  colored at 2/3/2/3/2

The colored stripes are wound on a second beam.

I wove a few inches sorting out threading and tension issues. The first few were beat too loosely, after a bit I settled on a denser beat that worked better. I cut off the first bit to wash. I'm not yet certain the reed marks will come out.

Finished - the reed marks are almost entirely gone, they are quite subtle and may still erase with another washing. Either way, it is lovely. Now, I have to cut it!
