I had put in an order to Macomber through Sarah. This week I received the second warp beam with a tension brake (my original beam has the ratchet brake). I also recieved the warp beam separator. My loom was made in 1971 and so the model was identified as B5; but it has a castle to fit 16 harnesses. In looking at the new steel lever to link the two brake systems to the brake pedal release, it appears that the lever with the chain for the brake pedal falls inside the loom and will rub against the loom upright. Also does not appear to be enough room for the lever and chain to work within the space of the harness steel rods. Could anyone with a 16 harness with two beams please measure the brake lever and post the length here? The warp beam separator that I ordered does not fit the back beam; it has bracket openings of 1 1/2". My back beam is 1 7/8" thick. Do the older looms have thicker back beams?I have contacted Sarah who suggested I call Eddie. I left a message for him. Thanks to anyone who is able to share info.
