Thank you, that is my favorite one too.  Card weaving with wire is a lot of fun because you can do things like just keep twisting the cards without putting in any weft and then you get strands that can be shaped later.

I think entries will be due in February, 2015, and the piece must be 15 x 15".

Hm, Small Expressions.   I guess I'd have to repurchase my membership in HGA.   I got frustrated with the articles in SS&D and dropped my membership.   The magazines seem to have less and less actual weaving in them and more and more textile art.   I have nothing against textile art, but wanted a weaving magazine.

These pieces were all done using card weaving and copper wire of various colors (28 - 30 gage) for both the warp and the weft.    I just put the wire on and played without much of a plan.   After each one was "done," I shaped them.

I listed these as 20 shafts, but of course that doesn't apply in card weaving.   That was the number of cards I used.
