This is slow weaving with lots of pick-up and not for those in a hurray! Loving the process.

How will you use this beautiful band?

latinlatitudes (not verified)

This band will accompany another narrower band and be joined and fashioned into a purse for a friend. The narrower, compliementary band has yet to be woven.

I recently started learning pick up on the inkle. I love it! I have a pick up pattern on one loom and an easier plain weave on another, so I can weave according to my mood or need. I like the meditative nature of weaving, and the different types of weaves can allow for different meditative qualities. Your inkle weaves are lovely!

Mystic Handworks

Notes

This band is currently on the loom and weaving continues at a slow but meditative pace. I love pick-up patterns and the inkle loom has totally captured my weaving attention. Both patterns are from books published by Laverne Waddington. The border pattern is from the book entitled Andean Pebble Weave and the centre motif from More Adventures With Warp Faced Pickup Patterns.
