and has a middle-east/east Indian feel to it (to me). Would you share the origin of the pattern or the draft??

Oh, beautiful!   Any chance you could post a better picture of that orange piece.   I'd like to see a bigger picture - it's really lovely.

Your kind comments mean so very much to me.

To coastalgal: The draft is on page 121 of one of my all-time favorite books, Carol Strickler's "Weaver's Book of 8 Shaft Patterns". Check it out at the Interweave Store.

To endorph: Weaving towels is wonderful fun. Trying out various colors as pattern weft, each towel becomes a color study. Adding a variegated warp end every so often at random adds interest.

To SallyE: There are two red towels, each with a different tie-up and treadling. One has already been gifted. I'll photograph the one remaining and add it here a.s.a.p.

To prairiegirl: Thank you, that means a lot to me.

Positive comments from other weavers really give me a boost and send me back to the loom eager for another adventure. You are very kind. Thanks, everyone!

I have 8-shaft envy again!  The variety is great.  My kind of weaving, since I don't like repeating anything.

Yes, having eight shafts is pretty sweet. I admit to wishing for more, too, though. It's tough to self limit. On the other hand there are no end of beautiful possibilities with four. And I am blown away by those of us who do amazing weaving on incredibly simple looms. Laverne Waddington is a prime example. Thanks for your kind comment. RepWeaver
