How?
Hello! I have only weaved on a loom a couple of times and recently purchased one so I could practice more. How do you make stripes of color like you did on your piece Korskyper? does your warp go from yellow to green as well as the weft? I tried to look up this information online but it was a bit confusing. I didn't know if had an easy way to describe it!
Thanks!

easter
Hi sdsbrookes, sorry I didn't see your reqest before. Warping I used Swedish cottolin 22/2 in following colors: 2720, 3160, 3130, 2420
I chose light green 2420 double 10 treads,
2420 and green 3130 10 treads each,
3130 double,
3130 and light yellow 2720 double 10 threads each,
2720 double,
2720 and warm yellow 3160 10 each,
3160 10 double
mirror this.
I made the stripes og only four colors. By mixing them I got that effect. Use double thread while warping. Mixing the order of the two while threading each stripe. Weaft is lintow of the edge color.
Good luck. Happy easter.

Spring/ easter runner
Normal 0 21 false false false NO-BOK X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
This runner is in broken twill warp faced. It was a study for my weaving klass two years ago. The runners are 80 cm long and 28 cm width. We used reed 55/10 which gave 11/cm and 6-7 picks each cm.
When you thread you have two choises. Banded: alternating the two colors or striped by random choise.
The material is cottolin 22/2 in warp and Tow 6 picks
