I really like this banner.  What a neat idea to crochet onto/into the weaving.  And, a wonderful way to use up stash!

I'm using all my yarns in my stash that are within the White family or near the white family.  I've also crocheted onto the weaving for a different look using a slip stitch (looks like a soumak stitch), a single crochet stitch, double crochet stitch and a stitch called the pointed leaf stitch (trim stitch). I used eyelash yarn, metallic crochet thread, sewing thread, weaving thread, wool roving, acrylic roving, Boucle yarn, Cotton yarn, and Acrylic yarns for the weft.  I found you can crochet onto one warp thread or along the width for one row or in a snaking motion along many rows for added interest.
