One of my pictures is covering the info & I'm not familiar enough with this site to know how to move it, but the info says: I used varying lengths & widths in the 2-block arrangment, as I changed the shades in each block...  (weft  same as warp for some of the yardage, then treadling each block as it pleased me in solid shades for the rest of the yardage).

What a gorgeous coat.  It looks like you got a lot of mileage out of various color changes -- gives me thought about how to use up odds and ends.

Notes

I wove the coat fabric from 2/8 wool (8-shaft 2 block twill, 16 EPI, PPI) for a waulking (Led by my mentor Norman Kennedy- see photos) and knitted the welts, collar & cuff with Chunky alpaca Boucle' (Plymouth's 'Alpaca Boucle' in dark charcoal- 1x1 rib, picked up around the edges with a sharp crochet hook)- I wear this coat constantly, it is soft & warm & is standing the test of time. There was enough fabric in this 10-yard length to make this coat, 2 vests & 4 hats. (I used several different weft yarns- see above list)
I just have to add, there are several excellent people & very dear friends at the waulking table, it makes this coat extra special to me- I feel like I’m being hugged by all of them every time I wear it!
