I think I saw on his website that he will be teaching a bench class, also.

Is the list of instructors posted yet?

Can you post a link to the MAFA 2017 Workshop Weekend site at the top of this thread?

Char

The conference site isn't live yet so I've posted the MAFA URL until it is. It should be ready by later this summer.

Registration is open to everyone. The conference price doesn't get any better--and that's because MAFA's leadership team is composed entirely of volunteers. How can you beat a 2 1/2 day workshop with a world-class instructor, room and board for three days/nights and lots of other activities? You can't!

Registered this morning, Feb.1, for Acadian weaves. Got my first choice, so I'm happy.

Possibly a mug rug, if Frances Irwin Handweavers in Northern New Jersey is successful with their efforts! Images from our February guild meeting today:

The highly anticipated week has arrived! Three days to meet deadlines, and then leaving for Millersville after work on Wednesday. I am bringing looms, tools, extra tools (in case someone forgot theirs), bobbin winder, pillow, blanket, sweater, salty snacks, beverages, Inky and ? What are you bringing?

My loom is warped and samples are in their sleeves. Bringing extra bobbins, winder, etc. a sweater? Really? We are supposed to be in a heat wave that weekend. But - totally get it - airconditioning may be an issue.

MAFAfiber (not verified)

The air conditioning held up well last year, when it was also hot and muggy. The dorms this year are new, and I'm optimistic that all will function perfectly.

It's open today and tomorrow, free, for day visitors...

Sad to report the vendor area closed at 8 tonight. I managed to make a few purchases right at the end of the evening.

Look at these wonderful felted garments in process...

And then there was Sara Lamb's class... Spectacular but on a different scale.

Thank you, Sally, for sharing a 'taste' of the conference.
