Hi.  Does anyone have any pictures, or advice on where to position the lamm depressor?

I have an old (1958) Macomber, just ordered a lamm depressor.  I found pictures and instructions on how to install it, they explain about measuring the height.  The part I'm not clear about is where specifically it needs to be installed vertically on the cross piece?

I was looking at the pictures posted on macomberloomsandme.blogspot.com, but I'm not following if it matters where vertically it should be aligned.

Thanks

Susan

position does matter. If you place it in the wrong location you may not be able to "depress" the lamm

Hi.  Thanks for your response.  If position does matter, is it just a matter of holding it place and trying to depress the lamm before screwing it in (trial and error)?

Thanks,
