here is a glimpse back at the activity from the last few meetings. (Is anyone going to run out and buy a Pat Green Supercarder after Jerri's May demonstration?)

Did everyone have fun today? For a drippy, dreary, rainy day, there sure was a lot of sunshine in the meeting room!

I am weaving a piece in a black and white shadow weave using 5/2 pearl cotton.  I am planning to use the first part of my piece as a dress for a doll that I will be creating.  The rest will probably become a scarf.

My website is: http://maurinesfiberfriends.homestead.com if you would like to see what I enjoy making.

I live in Las Vegas but am still a member of the FIH Guild.

Oh, how fun is this to see my friends from FIH all the way to New Hampshire.  I am weaving dimity at the moment and gift towels with name draft BUT by summer I will have something else going on. :-)

I am not weaving anything yet, but my newly dyed yarn is drying!

Were you dyeing any alpaca over in the corner?

I downloaded the photos from the meeting, I captured over 50 just from the dye party! I haven't gotten to review the show n tell yet...

I dyed some fiber at Monday's meeting:

On the left is kid mohair and CVM top, both dyed with the same colors, then more kid mohair, a silk cap, and finally some merino top that I used to soak up leftover dye in cups around the table! Thanks to Vickie - a fun day!

Am looking forward to seeing the dimity! Are you planning on making a shirt out of the fabric? And the name draft towels. What name did you use-your own? I see Marjie is teaching at MAFA (in your old back yard) Scranton.

After all, we'll be doing a program on Social Media soon, and we need to have an example to catch folks eyeballs! So what is everyone working on these days?
