I just got this photo from Virag who is holidaying on Oak Island. This park is just down the road from her beach house.

What about you? Any odd or cool places to contribute?

Here's mine. It just happens to be at above mentioned beach house.

Neither am I...
I would love to see the photos.  Any ideas, anyone?

I love seeing how the looms are attached to the tension "object"

The wooden ring was from a drawer in the beach house.  I think it used to be with Mom's curtains in the 70s.  Unfortunately I broke it while applying tension to the loom.  I liked it though and am thinking of getting a metal ring to go in my kit:>.

HEHE...it was a lot of fun.  I wanted to set up on the dock in the waterway but then realized that when the boats came by the dock would float up and down.  I wrapped my loom in a towel and bungeed it to the back of the bike and was able to travel all over with it.

There's a little palm tree next to our pool, and as soon as the water gets warm enough and I get one of those swim-chairs..... Underwater backstrap weaving?

Meanwhile, here is an old pic of me hitched up to my husband's weight bench. It works, but lately I've just put a c-clamp on my kitchen table, which is heavy enough to take the tension, and weave off the edge on the opposite side. It's a little low, but it also works.

I like this as you have a place against which to brace your feet. Is that one of those inflatable exercise balls in the background? There's a weaver on Ravelry who sits on one of those to backstrap weave and says it's really comfortable.

Yes!  Just sitting on the ball is a good exercise for balance and strength, too.  It really works all those "middle" muscles. Sometimes I have a sore back, and I need to sit in a chair while weaving . So I drape myself over the ball to stretch my back after weaving a while.  You have to be careful not to roll right off or crash into something, but it feels wonderful just to hang out and relax on it.  It's a good thing to have around.

This artist, had a close call with the police for doing her tie-up in a tourist area.  Her goal was to do public weaving. LOL

I once attached mine to the TV stand and pulled the whole thing down on top of me.  This was in the days of those really big sets.  Broke the TV.  I have never been the same either, just a little smarter now.

When I had the urge to weave and no place to attach I just held a stick with the cord wrapped around it under my toes, my feet up on a pillow or loveseat arm. I could change the tension by pushing or relaxing my feet. Very comfortable. I tried to post a photo but can't seem to upload it... I've also attached to the top of a chair back and put my feet on the chair seat braced against the back to hold the chair in place.
