You can always see what’s new at The Woolery by clicking on our New Arrivals link, but we wanted to point out this cool new product! We now have Mini Warping Reels - this is faster and easier on your arms versus a warping board or pegs!

Great for people who do short warps like the Cricket and other rigid heddle looms. It is easily disassembled for storage and very high on the “cute” factor! There are 2 adjustable fixtures with 3 pegs each to establish the “cross”. For warps up to 7 yards (depending on weight of yarn).

We’re working on a “how-to” video & will be sure to share it when it’s live!

Edited to add: It was an honest mistake here to post that we had a warping wheel - thanks for bringing this to our attention! We've fixed it!

Nice device for those who wind shorter warps.

There has been much discussion and confusion about warping reels and warping wheels. It looks like you have a Mini Warping Reel not a Wheel. The AVL Warping Wheel rotates like a wheel, and the warp may be loaded directly onto the warp beam.

Does your mini warping device have a brake?  If not, it would be a nice addition.

Guy, I always enjoy your posts and am a fan of the woolery, but I think you might not have the right name this time.  It looks like a real nice little device, but around here we call that a "warping reel" sometimes even a "warping mill".  A "warping wheel" is something entirely different that's made for sectional warping.  You don't have to take my word for it.  Search Google Images for each of these terms and see what you get.  I'll bet this will sell better if you call it a "mill" or "reel" so people can find it.   Thanks, DRW

Thank you for bringing this to our attention - you are correct, we have A Warping Reel, not a wheel! Our mistake!
