I recently ran across the Weaving Art Museum and Research Institute (WAMRI) an online gallery featuring Eastern Mediterranean indigenous weaving. In their welcome message they state their mission as: "The Museum has been established to promote increased appreciation for the historic weaving art of indigenous cultures located in the Eastern Mediterranean and the adjacent areas known as the Caucasus Mountains and Southwestern Turkmenistan." Their featured exhibition currently is the Lamm Collection of ancient carpet fragments.
