This is the new piece that I am working on. It is made of sewing thread and embroidery floss at 20 epi in tapestry technique. I have also used a great deal of soumack for creating the lines n the two tapestries. DOes anyone else use soumack for lines in tapestry. Would love to compare notes. This is part of a 3-4 part series of small format tapestries that I am working on. If I get lucky I should have it and the next piece done by the end of January. I have also enclosed an attachment of the first tapestry in the series. Some of you may have seen this piece it was in my Exhibit during convergence in Albuquerque this last summer.  It would be nice to know if anyone else is working on a small tapestry in tapestry technique.

It would be really nice if we all introduced ourseleves and said what our expectations of and for the small group is!

Kathe,

How about starting a new thread labeled Introductions for everyone to say hi and talk about their experience and what they are working on now.

Also, if you go to the breadcrumbs at the top of the page and click on "Small Format Tapestry"

it now takes you to the landing page or home page for this group.  We have added new functionality which allows you to see all the threads listed in chronological order with the most recent posts at the top.

These projects are beautiful!  May I ask, do you use any sort of magnification when working on them?  I'm quite intrigued!

Off I go to warp one of my looms!  You've inspired me!
