I have a notebook computer I would like to use to run my loom. I have weavepoint6.  I put the program on it and I have used the design part with no problem. When I hook it up to the loom the weaving piece doesn't work. How do I get it to work? Thanks for any help. Laurie

Looking at the "Weave" pull down menu:

Did you set the weave options for the correct configuration for your loom?

Did you set loom control for the start and end picks?

Or else the notebook simply does not have enough 'juice' to power the loom.....?

cheers,

If a PDA could be configured, I image the notebook which is more than likely greater power and technology would be able to run the dobby.

Some of the programs and the cord hookup require a driver to drive the loom.  It is a separate program from the weaving program.  Go back to weavepoint and tell them what type of loom you have and see what driver you need to install.  Welcome to the wonderful world of getting your software to talk to your loom.  You WILL doubt your sanity upon occasion!

I purchased a new usb serial adapter.  It looks like it is going to work and than the harness don't go up. I was told it may have to be reconfiquared. Has anyone had to do this and what did you do?
