Woven Shibori

This is the second of two woven shibori scarves and a 20" sample from this warp.  I decided to dye the finished pieces a rusty orange colour before pulling the ties. I have pulled the ties and will discharge the colour on half the sample.  Then into the new Indigo Vat.   I want to see the effect of the indigo on the dyed portion and an undyed portion and will decide how to do the scarf then.

I am using a Thiourea dioxide/soda ash  method which is quicker than a fermentation vat I tried last summer.  I have done a test piece and it works well.  Now waiting for the weather to warm up again so I can work outside.
