Hi, After much study and the wonderful help from Joanne and Ed at Glimarkra USA, will be getting a Susanna 27" rigid heddle loom and stand with 12 and 10 dent heddles. Concept following is old yet new- creating cloth on a simple loom to make fashionable casual garments to wear everyday. It is a practical approach aimed at using commerical patterns with necessary modifications for a looser weave structure cloth. Also, am everyday person who loves arts and crafts and by dermination, study, and actual practice self-taught flat pattern alterations to fit my body, weaving, dollmaking, and costuming. Have a college degree. Am intermediate level sewer. Do not pretend to know-it-all. There are many more skilled people which are more knowledgeable and technical in these fields. From these people we all learn to hone what we can do on our own personal level. The Weaving Fashionista is a journey which to share ,with those interested, what encounter, learn, and end up with with sewn handwoven cloth. This group is fantastic! Lynn

Hey Lynn,

Congrats on the new purchase.  Getting yourself a brand new loom is such a treat!  I bought myself a Julia from Joanne and Ed this past summer.  The customer support is excellent.  I called with a problem and Joanne talked me through the fix and it worked.  It was a user error, of course, but she never scoffed. 

Keep us posted on how your weaving experience proceeds.  Send pictures too!!
