Vavstuga Elegant Runner for Spring

The warp for this project was provided by Vavstuga Swedish Weaving in Shelburne Falls, MA.  The copyright draft is not available.

The density of this warp sett made the end result resemble grossgrain ribbon ... no kidding!  The runner was a little slow to weave if I wanted to keep the selvedges looking clean plus I used 16/2 cotton in the weft as well.   A temple was not required.  I wove this runner in a different color combination for the holidays in 2009 in black, olive and red ... just stunning.
