Scarf with a bump

With our guild members we booked a weaving course to learn more about fabric that bump. The material I used was Tencel and virgin wool Milano from Denmark, both in warp and weft. The tencel hardly shrunk yet the wool shrunk a great deal. In order to make this all happen I sleyed only 6 ends/cm (instead of 8) of the Tencel and 4 ends/cm (instead of 10) of the wool.

The beating was done very gentle and with great care. When the fabric came off the loom I washed it by hand so I had control over what was going to happen, rubbing and kneading vigorously for about 20 minutes.

The end result I am happy with. The scarf shrunk about 50% in length and in width.
