Absolutely stunning, recipients are very lucky to get one of these!

I tried pleats once but didn't like the results. I really like what you've accomplished.

Success depends on a closer than normally sett warp and a fine weft or one that has some energy such as an overspun singles.  The 20/2 rayon that I used for weft is much finer than the chenille warp.

Notes

Pleats are woven in various ways on a straight draw threading on 24 shafts.  The warps are closely sett and the wefts are much finer.  The alternation is between 3/1 and 1/3 twill areas on the cloth.  Warps are made so that adjacent stripes contrast, and sometimes woven so that the warp and weft faced twills fall on them, but if they are woven in a diagonal, the colors shift along the length of the cloth as in the Havest Colors and the Natural Wools images.  These are examples from three different warps.
