I just got a pre-owned BabyMac and have a question that has probably already been addressed, but I don't know how to find it on the forums. It looks like the heddle eyes rest below the bottom of the beater bar. Is this correct? Will it affect the warp (abrasion, etc)?
Also, I have a reed that is taller than the one that came with the loom so the top of the beater is above the bumpers (fitting neatly into the cut out space for the beater when it is folded). Because it is closer to the harnesses, I think I'll keep hitting my hand on the closest one. I'm trying to decide if I should put bumpers there. Of course, I won't really be able to successfully fold the loom in either case... Any suggestions??
