When I got my 4H LeClerc Fanny in 1972, I think it had thousands of heddles - I only exaggerate some. I've never used them all, in fact about 500 are off the loom.

When I got my 8H Schacht in 1988, 100 heddles per harness. I bought another 800 right away. Expensive & should have option to get a discount with loom purchase.

Will look to see how your project progresses... Joan

Notes

This is on my new-to-me AVL Folding Dobby Loom. I am waiting to order heddles because the loom came with @500 (I am beginning to think people eat the heddles off the loom before selling them to get extra fiber in their diets. Seriously, this is the second loom I have bought with very few heddles.)

I am hopeful that Sectional Warping for Complete Idiots appears in Cyber Fiber again because my sectional warping technique ends up looking like a 40 strand kumihimo strand instead of neat little packages of yarn winding effortlessly onto the beam.
