First scarf

First Scarf (second project)

Warp: hand-spun singles from hand-painted BFL top from Three Waters Farm, http://www.threewatersfarm.com/Zcart/fiber-c-23.html

Weft: the same for the colored panels at the ends. In the middle, hand-spindled Navajo-plied Corriedale.

I had originally planned to do the whole thing with the hand-painted singles, but it didn't stand up to the movement of the heddle, I didn't think I had enough, and I wasn't altogether happy with the color for the whole length of the scarf. So I tried my stash of Corriedale--my first adventure in washing and spinning raw fleece.
