Absolutely stunning! I love the colors!

I have been using 60/2 silk for weft inlay and thinking that I can't even imagine it being used as warp.... and here you present this stunning silk shawl...it's breathtaking!!

Perfect color choices, weaving, model, even accessories. You left no stone unturned with this project!

(And I noticed the color gamp casually thrown over the couch in the background of one of the photos. Is that DW too?)

Ellen, you continue to outdo yourself. This is exquisite work; such fine artistry and skill! Love the colors, too.

Thank you all of you :-) It is heartwarming with such responses.

To Laverne, yes it took quite some time to thread, but apart from that it was great to work with.

And to Sally, the "color gamp" is something I wove a couple of years ago and made into a large cushion, - and a couple of wall hangings. It's the one from the Best of Weavers' Double Weave.

Notes

This was a silk 60/2 double weave and the first to project try out all 12 shafts/treadles on my Glimakra loom. I really enjoyed playing with all the colours I had available as I went.

The draft is from Best of Weavers' Double Weave, where it is used for a jacket fabric

I was very pleased with it, - except for a bad float on the back side, where a treadle cord had been off its peg for longer than I had discovered, - till too late.
