It's beautiful! I love the visual interest of the simple plaid. I'm sure it will be cherished and handed down. I've had projects that got stuck in the planning/procrastination stage that never saw the light of day. Congrats on finishing this one!

LOL ~ This makes me feel so much better: I'm in the same situation with a nursery rug! Although, I have to admit, it's only been 17 months in the planning, procrastinating, and weaving. AND I had to get the loom set up in its new home first. But baby's baby brother will be here in a month so it's time to get it done.

It is beautiful. I love the color and pattern. Great job.

Notes

This baby blanket took approximately 27 months to complete: 6 hours of warping and weaving, 19711 hours of planning and procrastinating, and 6 hours of cutting, pressing, and sewing. Originally planned to be for my nephew when he was born, it ended up as a gift for his younger sister's first Christmas. I backed it with a store-bought receiving blanket and finished the edges with a cotton trim.
