Another lovely, lovely project, Ellen!  Your work inspires me in so many ways.  I have arthritis that gets in my way sometimes, too, and it really is eye-opening to see the ways you've found to work around physical "interruptions".  Thank you for that.  And for all this beauty!

I think the indigo came out more true in these photos. What a classic, elegant piece! Your weaving is always !!! an inspiration to me, Ellen! The fact that you worked this in around your recovery is all the more impressive!

I popped in earlier today and this project caught me eye-I should have guessed who wove it! What are you going to do with the fabric?

Hi Sally :-)

It came out as two scarves, one a little wider than the other, but shorter because I tied on twice and hadn't calculated warp for that.

Hope to see some of your stuff in a minute :-)

This is beautiful. Love the colour too. Ruth told me to have a look at your weaving. Love it.

The drape of the fabric in the photo looks fantastic! This is a beautiful, beautiful scarf! I have a bamboo scarf project to begin soon - my first time weaving w/ bamboo and looking forward to it! Sending best wishes for your back recovery Ellen - I find weaving so (mentally) theraputic. ;)

Thank you very much for your comment, woolgirl. I think you are going to love the bamboo, it has many features in common with tencel, I find.

Like you I find weaving such a therapeutic occupation, too. AND challenging and always inviting to think out new ways and solutions and methods and ....endless possibilities to be tried :-)

Look forward to seeing your bamboo project!

Notes

A great experience with bamboo 10/2 and a nice huck lace draft that was very easy to do on either side of a period of back troubles and consequent surgery. The first scarf was sett a little closer at 12 ends per cm and woven before the surgery, then I just resleyed and wove on when I could sit at the loom again :-)
