What size reed do you use with that sette?  I'm also curious to know how you lay out your warp.  Do you use a paddle?  If my calculations are correct, you have about 836 ends - is that right?

My reed was 15 d.p.i. sleyed 3|2|3|2|3|2 . . . I use a warping reel and warp twice as long as my intended length but only half as wide (half the number of ends needed), making a cross at each end. When the warp has been wound both beginning and ending crosses go through my lease sticks and are threaded as usual.

I warp holding two ends together and using my fingers as a sort of paddle. As I go, I splice in other colors. Color mixing isn't something I write down. Usually I have a pretty specific idea of how I want it to look and just design as I go to make it happen. The results are most apparent in some of my rep pieces.

There are 816 ends in this particular draft.

The third warp of my "Little Blocks" Towels yielded nine towels. After machine hemming and machine washing and drying, each measures 19" x 27". The 8H Twill Blocks structure is fun to design and weave. The resulting cloth is a joy to handle.
