I want to make a tablecloth, and do not want the sheen of mercerized cotton, but want something harder spun than unmercerized. I bought a loom with an interesting, firm, strong, slightly shiny warp on it that I have tentatively identified as 10/2 ringspun rayon, which would be perfect. I can't find a source for this. Does anyone have a source for this rayon or any other ideas as to fiber? I am thinking of Swedish lace. Linen is too expensive, cotolin is usually a little heavier than I'd like, and also expensive.
