Just made a deal to purchase a loom....but the seller balked when I said I was putting 2 loom pieces on the roof rack....secured and protected..of course....Does anyone have any reports of mishaps or problems with this method of transport?....I have read other comments concerning this and it seems like this is a common transport method.....Any thoughts?

If it's in the stars....it WILL happen....just read this thread....believe me, it was an adventure....sometimes really bad....but all's well that ends well....(*~*)....

One of my guildmates told a similar story. She saw a Glimakra loom, still in the box(es), sitting out on the curb for trash pick up. About had a heart attack! I don't know the end of the story — if it was rescued or not.

Wow! In the trash??? I would hsve rescued it, or just about any loom, in a heartbeat.  It could alway be given away or the guild could auction it off.
