Totebag

I had seen the idea (maybe here?) about laying in a fabric that had a picture in it.  Got my brain going!  My daughter had a batik of a trotting horse she had done and I wanted to do something with it.   When I realized this weft material was pretty close in color, I thought I'd try it.

Turned out kinda neat, learned a few things, and ended up with a tote bag.  I wove 4 buckles into the warp at the points of where I wanted the handles to be and then I used belt leather to make handles.  I also added some bead accents that say "I <3 horses" and "neigh".

Tje design is very subtle, especially photographed.... I see the horse better in the thumbnail than the larger picture, but some people see it better with the big picture.
