I made battens today! Got a lesson in table sawing, bought a Dremel. Watched a few utubes about bending wood. Made four four battens of varying width out a wood called tarahah? I don't know something out of husbands hardwood stash I'm not supposed to touch. And they are gorgeous!

It was just a sticker on the wood, it's spelled tarara . I think it was partially torn off. I'll post photos of the battens. It was very hard and two toned in gold, orange and dark brown. I'm kind of of dumb about these things.
