Sara Goodman, textile artist/weaver from New Hampshire will be talking about her extensive travels (to Nepal, India, Japan, Bali, Guatemala) and their impact on her work. She will be showing slides and some of her woven work . Sara has a lifelong interest in Indonesian textiles, ikat and natural dyes; these interests are reflected in her work.
The Weavers Guild meeting is on Saturday, 4/24 from 1:00 - 3:00; there is a social hour from noon to one. We meet at the School of Visual Arts, 214 E. 21 St, Room 206A. Home some of you NY area weavers can make it to the meeting.
