Hello- I have a Structo Artcraft loom that was used for many years in the weaving studio at Iowa State University. I bought it when the weaving studio was closed sometime in the '90s. It is 20" wide, four harnesses, wood frame. The number embossed at the top is 600-6207. Does anyone know how old this loom might be? Thanks! Susan Poague

Hello from a fellow displaced Iowan and Structo 600 owner!

I am not positive, but I believe that # may mean loom seven produced in the year 1962. The 600 = the standard warp thread capacity. 20" weave width x 30 epi (2 per dent in a 15 dent reed) = 600 warps.

There is an active Structo Group on Yahoo! Groups, and another one here at Weavolution. As soon as the tech volunteers at Weavo figure out how to allow the migration of the photos, manuals, and materials from Yahoo, we'll have one stop-shopping. What's nice about this site is you can post photos with your messages, not in a separate folder.

So feel free to post a photo of your Structo 600! And what are you going to weave on it?

Go Cyclones! (Couldn't resist. ;-)

Hi there,

Actually, I am planning to sell my Structo. I've gotten to the point where it's time to downsize a little bit, and I haven't woven on it for a number of years. Here's a photo of it. The Sructo label is long gone, but the ISU property sticker is still there. :-)
