Queezle

I've never learned about crimp or collapse weave.  Is it the weft that allows it to collapse like that?  Whatever the cause, the effect is great, as is your beautifully twisted fringe.

The draft requires the weft fiber be thinner than the warp fiber, and the warp needs to be cotton so it shrinks. It doesn't take this shape until after it's washed and dried in a hot dryer when it collapses into this ribbed crumple cloth shape.

Amazing.  I've always wondered about how this was done!   Bravo.

This collapsed crimpled scarf is perfect for cold winter days!  I love it.
