For the past month I have been posting pictures of scarfs woven by my wife Cheryl out of novelty knitting yarns. "Handwoven"  magazine has just published the new issue showing Novelty knitting yarns as the yarn of the hour. It is always nice to know that you are a head of the curve. Seen here are two scarves from one warp. The warp is Lion Brand Yarn's Incredible, ribbon yarn, 100% nylon,  Nature Spun 100% virgin wool,  Stanley Berroco's Rainbow, 52% Irish wool, 48% nylon and Stanley Berroco's Que Linda loop yarn, 95% Irish wool, 5% nylon. The Warp for the first one is Stanley Berroco's Que linda loop yarn, 95% Irish wool, 5% nylon. The second scarf is Stanley Berroco's Que Linda Loop yarn, 95% Irish wool and 5% nylon with bands of Lions Brands Yarns's 100% polyester novelty eye lash yarn. Great post.

I've got the novelty yarns in the stash and I appreciate the examples of how the yarn might be used.

Would like to see if anyone else has examples..

Have a good day!

Someone was writing about using ladder yarn. So I am posting pictures here of a scarf using novelty yarns including ladder yarn in the warp. The warp will be woven with two different warps. Cheryl did a demo show this past Saturday, the first scarves to sell were the eyelash yarn ones. Which can be seen on the web site www.handweaver.us
