This project started some years ago (hence the earliest start date I could find for this website). One of our guild members was building a house (actually a yurt) in the country. She had the walls plastered with naturally colored clay. With some leftover clay our guild members spent a day dyeing high quality T-shirts with the clay which was in earthy gold and pink hues. I have had this T-shirt with its light gold body and soft pink sleeves for years, always thinking I needed to do something special with it. I pulled out all the yarns I had that would look good with the shirt. Finally this year when our guild did inkle projects, I decided to cut it up the center front and make an inkle trim for it. I had just acquired The Weaver's Inkle Pattern Directory by Anne Dixon and finally decided on a pattern and a couple of yarns I have had for a long time. This is the result. I am happy with it.
