i have a pretty old mira cb 4 harness loom.  i have woven a few things on it, but am still having trouble.  it has great tension on the warp.  my trouble is getting any kind of shed.  i can depress the treadles with some difficulty.  it is harder to depress the treadles on this than on my jack loom.  also, the shed is poor.  i have replaced some of the cords on it that were fraying.  the rest are the ones that were used by the last weaver.  if i replaced the cords from the treadles to the v shaped thing that connects the treadles to the lamms, and made them long enough so that the far edge of the treadles touched the floor, would that solve the problem?  i love this little loom, and i would like to get it to work better.

Can you post some pics of the tredles, lamms and cb set up?

I lengthened the treadle cords on the Mira I had in the 70s.  It makes the treadling more comfortable, especially if you are normal height or taller.

You should be able to get a good shed.  Have you looked at the Leclerc website?
