Hi Ellen,

now I know where you were in last time!

I´m always amazed at how busy you were again!!

This doubleweave jacket and the shawl are wonderful! Doubleweave is my favorite theme actually too. And for next year I will try deflected doubleweave. Do you have any experiences with it?  Is there a name for it in Danmark? I found just one in swedish like false dubbelväv or so. In German there is no term for it too.

Liebe Grüße!

Kristina

Hi Kristina,

Yes, I tend to be away a lot in the spring-summer-time. Last time I had to rush off suddely to take care of a burglary, which then turned out not to be too bad. But then I stayed and wove for several weeks while I was there anyway.

No, I'm afraid I'm also fairly new to exploring double weave, but what I have done so far is great fun. If I find anything in Danish about it, I'll let you know.

Nice to be in touch again, and thank you for your comments.

Ellen

Notes

I had quite a lot of merino wool left over from a previous project and thought the double weave would make a nice quality for jacket fabric.

Again I had my Danish ceramics craftswoman make the most perfect square buttons to match the pattern :-)
