Hello fellow Oklahoma weavers, and welcome to Weavolution!  What are you working on?  Do you find that you weave less as it gets hotter?  Or do you turn on the air conditioning and weave away?

Hi there  I think I found out how to post in the actual forums now.  YAY.

I am working on painting warps right now.  nothing actually on the loom, but that might change today to test out this cotton/rayon warp.

I find that I weave more in the winter and paint and dye yarns more in the summer.  But I still weave every chance I get.

Cynthia

I have a striped warp of pearl cotton on the loom, and am weaving cloth to be turned into shoulder bags.   The warp is long enough for five bags, and for the first length I am using many different weft yarns to see which ones I like best.  I think the others will each use a single weft, but we'll see.

I am working on frogging silk sweaters (from the thrift store) and plying 2 colors together to weave with later.  I don't have a specific project in mind so it's all up in the air right now.

Hi, I am not working on any thing at this time.  But I have been doing rugs and a blanket.  I have counterbalance floor loom that I have updated into a balance loom by adding the shed regulator.  I have got a blanket planned to do as soon as my dyer friend can dye the yarn for me.  She keeps saying she is going to send the dye home with me so I can learn to do it myself.  But I already have several other hobbies she has got me into (spinning and knitting).  I also have to get a 10" Dent for my next blanket.  So that means a trip to Lawrence, Kansas to the Yarn Barn.  I have only been weaving for about six months but I really enjoy it.
