Hi Ellen,

These are so beautiful and look like they have a nice drape as well.  A good example of your talent!

Hi Alaa!! How nice to hear from you, and thank you very much for your friendly comment! Let's see some of your work soon, right?! These were some of the things I was doing while I was away and you actually missed me :-) Ellen

Here I am on Weavolution now !! I've said it all before but these are lovely and drape so nicely. I particularly like the one with the purple cotton, the contrast shows the pattern off so well !

Oh these are so gorgeous Ellen. I got some  off-white tencel to go with the two colors that you sent me - no clue as what to make with it yet.

Oh, Hi again Laverne! Thank you. This one is a much much finer tencel than "ours", I sent for it all the way from New York!! Bought a whole 2 lb's of it!! :-) I was wondering what you were doing with yours. I guess you have been too busy. With the shine it has, maybe it would look good as a sort of bag or purse? Ellen

How could I have missed these, Ellen?  I'm only now starting to pay closer attention to Weavolution, so maybe haven't been by since you put these up??  They're stunning!  I will have to give Twill Thrills another look to find the draft.  It's hard to believe that you don't market your work.  I'm certain there are plenty of folks who would love to purchase your articles.  Your workmanship is just beautiful!  I also just saw your lovely yellow tartan....just beautiful!  You have certainly done yourself proud in learning this craft independently of groups and/or lessons!

Ellen.  Your scarves are lovely.  I have some supper fine (I think finer than 2/60) silk.  It is beautiful stuff.  I have been looking for a pattern that would weave this silk up in a fabric fitting it's beauty.  I'm not sure what weave structure would work for this.  Do I sly multiples of this for warp.  How many epi to sly.  I can't find any patterns or books for super fine silk. I was thinking maybe a shadow weave.  Any suggestions on using this super fine silk thread. A draft pattern you might share?

Thanks in advance

Erica
