Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum, though I poked around here and there before signing up. Any ways, I am the lucky recipient of a 32 inch Rigid Heedle (7.5 dpi) by Ashford. I love this loom by my problem is the plastic pieces that hold the warp sticks in place. On the back side where I wrap my warp, the plastic pokes through because it does not lay flat like the front piece does. I was thinking of replacing these plastic pieces with a sturdy yarn or twine but I'm not sure if that would cause an issue with tension. Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm willing to try any thing. I've included an image of the plastic piece I'm talking about. I'd show how the back looks but I currently have a project warped on.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

You might want to use Texsolv buttonhole cord (small eye). It won't stretch and can be looped around your stick. It works well on all types of looms for this purpose.

I've never even heard of that, but Google helped me out. This looks like the perfect thing to try. Thank you so much.

There is more thanone way to put it onto your warp beam, but however you choose to do it, it is easy to do.   Simply using one long cord zigzaging back and forth will work well.  You don't need any pins, just make a loop in the two ends and put your tie-on bar into the loop.

Thank you Joanne. I wasn't sure how to do that, either. I've also found using craft paper instead of cardboard helps keep the plastic down until I can get some Texsolv. Sorry for the delayed response, work has been crazy and I haven't had time to work with my loom.

The multiple posts saying the same thing. The site timed out and I didn't realize it had posted so many times.
