I just got a 'new' loom, a Glimakra Ideal. I'm so happy! I want to renew all the Texsolv though, now, I can choose:

  1. Texsolv per metre
  2. 55 yards on a cone
  3. or the cone PLUS 50 straight and 50 anchor pegs.

So euhm, do I need 50+50 pegs? I have no clue.

There are anchor pegs on the loom right now, no straight pegs. I don't really understand the difference anyway, although I visted their website :-/

I'm getting the (for now) 400 new heddles as a gift :)

Arrow pegs are usually used to form a loop in Texsolv, leg pegs are used when the Texsolv runs vertically through a hole (as in lamms or treadles).

Thanks.

I have a Glimakra Ideal and need new cord. I'm buying the cone, but am not sure about the pegs. The loom already has pegs but they're really old. Now, I saw the Vavstuga tie up system and now I'm not sure anymore... Pegs, or knitting kneedles beneath the treadles..? Any genius tie up tips for my 4 shaft countermarch?
