I received some extra parts with my Hammet loom.  A 20" warping wheel (wood parts bad shape using metal ends for folding loom I want to build), the 20" beater & reed for I assume a table loom that looks homemade , and the 2 slotted pieces with wing nuts shown below (were 2 of ea length but one of eacht were boken in shipment).

Can anyone tell me what the two slotted pieces are?

Also, I can't find any pictures online of what pulls the shafts back up on a folding loom like Dorset or Sievers, can anyone help me?

Looms for sale and weavers seem to be rare in my area, the guild in Alton IL doesn't seem to be active anymore, I live in Jerseyville,IL.

Thanks much.

Sorry picture won't post from my tablet amd my pc is down.  I'll describe them best I can,  one is 28" long,   the other 40" long, both 1" square, and have on each end a 5" x 1/2" deep notch cut into them with a 4" slot cut into remaing 1/2" of wood and tab ended wing nutted bolts in the slots.  Will post pic when can find a way.

Thanks.

If you e-mail the photo to me [email protected]. I will take a look at it and help you figure out why it won't load, and/or post it here for you.

Best wishes,

don't know about the extensible sticks in the background, but the foreground item is a batten/beater assembly with reed in place...I think...

I received the items pictured plus a 20" sectional warping wheel as extras with the Hamlet loom I purchased last year, took picture when rec'd but didn't put the sectional wheel in because it came in many pieces.

I thought maybe the slotted pieces (originally 4 of them 2 were broken in shipment) were from a folding table loom as the beater looks like it's from a 20" table loom as so short.  I don' t know if these xtra pieces belong together, neither did the seller as he just got in a lot of stuff purchased from a college.  I got the Hamlet loom, the extra prices and a tall spool rack for $100 + shipping,  I paid under $200 for everything! Well satisfied!

Just wondered if the slotted pieces were something that would be useful in the folding loom I'm going to build.

Can anyone tell me how to turn off the auto spelling thing on this site, keeps changing my words like Hamlet for hamlet , wouldn't let me correct unless used small h, every time I capitalized it changed word to Hamlet!
