Can anyone tell me why the top of each shed is extremely loose?  The sheds are clean. i have a four shaft table loom and warped front to back because I don't have a raddle yet.

Not sure.  Perhaps the warp needs to be a wee bit tighter?

but it just tightens the top and bottom equally leaving the bottom nicely tensioned and the top still pretty loose. Thank you

I would try adjusting the height of your shafts ifor the are too low the threadsrk that are left down maybe going up into the reed, providing more tension and stress on those threads. Adjusting your shafts up should even out the tension on the open shed.

Silly question, but is the warp going over both the back and front beams?

And if your forgot to put it over a beam, instead of taking it all apart, see if the beam can be removed and slipped under the warp.

Everyone's done this at least once if they have been weaving awhile.

Thanks so much for your help.

Here's the next question. I have cloth aprons with apron rods attached. I have no idea how to tie on and wind the warp using the apron. When I warped it I just ignored it, wound it up, tied directly on the apron rod and wound it over the apron. Something tells me that's not right. I've searched for photos or videos but haven't found any.

How do I tie on using the cloth apron?
