Hello, I'm about to start a project on my 15 inch cricket. The project is placemats and I'd like to put several on one warp but am wondering just how far I can go. Has anybody out there taken their cricket loom to the limit to know just how long a warp will fit?

I am on my 1st project also.  A beginner weaver. I wonder why the free download  patterns always use the length for 2 placemats? Maybe they figure 2 as a base . It is easy to calculate and you would want them in multiples of two -2, 4, 6, 8, etc.

I think the warp length can be whatever you want. Rolled up, it must fit on the Back Beam and maintain the tension.

This was a duplicated post. I will search for how to delete it.

The warp beam can hold lots of warp, but the front beam may hold far less, because that is the cloth beam. The finished cloth is usually thicker than just warp threads.

Keep in mind, you can always cut off projects and re-tension the warp to clear the cloth beam.

Excellent tips about the front cloth bar. So logical once you pointed them out. I just completed my first warp. It is 2 yards long. Though I will not have a problem, I will be watching the cloth bar to see how thick it is as it ròlls.
