Hey Loomcraft owners,

I was wondering if you think a Loomcraft is adequate for rugs? I'm learning rep weave and wanted your thoughts on if it works well with rug weaving.

I just finished my first rep weave rug, with the help of Rosalie Nielsen and her Video.  Questions to think about:

1.  Can you get a good tight warp?

2.  Will it make a good shed?

3.  Will the warp be extremely sticky?

4.  Can you beat hard with the beater?

These are some things that I gave a lot of consideration to.  I used a Glimakra Standard 47" loom and had no troubles with the above questions.

Have you watched Rosalie's video?  It is well worth the money spent.  I have watched it probably 4 times now, but there are always questions.  Have you tried to make a small rug first to sample?  I wish that I had done that, but I just jumped straight in and made the rug.
