I am getting ready to warp my 4-harness loom for the first time.I want to make a scarf about 14" wide.  My warp thread measures 18 threads per inch so I will be cutting 252 warp threads. My reed is a 12 dent reed. Should I put 2 threads in one dent, 1 thread in the next, 2 in the next, and so forth?   -Ann

The simple answer is yes.

You might wind up with some reed marks that usually wash out after wet finishing, depending on the type of yarn used.

Absolutlely! The reed is another design tool which can add subtle or not so subtle elements to your woven cloth.
